There does not seem to be much interest in hosting the 2020 Republican
National Convention. On April 2, 2018, organizers in Charlotte,
NC submitted a bid, and Nevada Republicans have made a case for
hosting the Convention in Las Vegas. The RNC
is expected to make its decision by summer 2018.

July 13-16, 2020, before the Summer Olympic Games (+). The last time a
major party held its convention this early was in 1992 when Democrats
gathered in New York City to nominate Bill Clinton, also from July
