As Attorney General, Tom Corbett has worked hard to protect taxpayers'
hard-earned money, including selling the assets seized from drug dealers and organized crime. Tom also went after predatory lenders, pharmaceutical companies, and big oil companies that took advantage of consumers and hit
them where it hurts the most—their bank accounts. So far, more than half a billion dollars has been given back to Pennsylvania taxpayers.
As Governor, Tom will be just as relentless. Tom has made a commitment to eliminate the waste that has led to a 40% increase in state spending, and to reform the state's WAMs program, which allows hundreds of millions of dollars to
be spent every year at the discretion oflegislators with little oversight or accountability. Tom also has called for a 10 to 20% cut in the number of state cars. This will save taxpayers up to $140 million over the next 10 years.

Last year, more than half a million Pennsylvanians found themselves on the unemployment line. Certainly this is a heartbreaking number. Yet, while Harrisburg seems all too eager to vote themselves huge pay raises and bigger pensions, they seem remarkably slow when it comes to restarting our economy and helping the families of Pennsylvania.
Tom Corbett has developed a comprehensive plan that will turn back on the power of Pennsylvania's economy. It starts by lowering taxes for thousands of small businesses, the largest creators of new jobs. Presently, we have one of the highest business tax rates in the country, which limits existing businesses from expanding, and prevents new businesses from locating here.
Tom will move quickly to reduce the excessive regulatory burdens that both stymie economic growth and waste a fortune of taxpayers' money. One of his first actions as Governor will be to overhaul the nightmare DEP regulations as well as to initiate reform of the Pennsylvania unemployment compensation system.
