• Expand a micro-lending program that Diane helped create which has assisted more than 1,800 New Mexico small businesses in growing and creating jobs
• Create new incentives to encourage the production and use of wind, solar, biofuels and geothermal energy to create the clean energy jobs of tomorrow
• Reduce the dropout rate, invest more in teachers, classrooms and a college scholarship plan so that New Mexicans are ready for the jobs of future
• Provide a $2,500 tax credit for small business owners who create good-paying jobs with health care benefits
To fund her Job Growth Initiative, Diane Denish will reform the bloated bureaucracy:
• Balance the budget with smart cuts and efficiencies, without cutting education or health care
• Save taxpayers an estimated $450 million over five years
• Slash the state car fleet
• Cut high-paid Cabinet positions and political appointees
• Reform state agencies to root out corruption just like Diane did when she stood up to her own party to reform the corrupt Housing Authority
