July 31, 2021 - Mike Netter,
who describes himself as a "key proponent"
of the recall, emceed Kevin Kiley's rally in
Culver City. Netter is an interesting
and energetic figure. On his LinkedIn
page he describes himself as, "Visionary
sales leader and rainmaker with a passion
for politics Now using skills to help create
a better political landscape." He argues
that the recall effort will succeed despite
the state's Democratic leanings. He
says that looking at the people most likely
to vote, 49% would vote to keep Newsom, but
the key figure to watch is the 14%
undecided. "It's coming our way every
day," Netter says. He says
7.5 million votes in favor of the recall
will be enough to make it happen.
Turnout will be key. 17.8 million
Californians voted in the 2020 election and
12.5 million voted in the 2018 election.
