 NV Secretary of State

Notes:
Gov. Brian Sandoval (R)'s popularity deterred strong Democratic challengers from entering the race, and he coasted to a second term as Republicans swept all statewide offices.  Sandoval won the June 10 Republican primary with 89.88% of the vote.  Eight little-known candidates competed in the June 10 Democratic primary and the top finisher was "None of These Candidates" with 29.96%.  Robert "Bob" Goodman, second at 24.77%, became the party's nominee.  Goodman, 80 and retired, had run for lieutenant governor in 2010 and 2006.  He had considerable experience with China, including as chair of the Sino-American Trade Development Association, and from 1972-78 he served as Nevada director of economic development.  Goodman raised little money and received no support from the state party, while Sandoval had a warchest of over $3 million.
