CAMPAIGN PLATFORM
"RESTORING STATES RIGHTS"

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
– Tenth Amendment

Individual Rights
I will add Wyoming to the lawsuit against the nationalization of healthcare.

Property Rights
I will promote and sign legislation preventing the government from interfering with the lawful use of private property under the guise of protecting endangered species.
I will restore the fourth amendment rights to all Wyoming citizens by promoting and signing legislation to stop the use of Eminent Domain by private companies.

Gun Rights

I will promote and sign legislation to allow every citizen in good standing (non-felon) to carry the fire arm of their choosing in any manner they choose.
I will direct the Attorney General to restore reciprocity with the States where it has been lost.

Jobs and the Wyoming Economy
We don't need more taxes, we need to spend more wisely and tax less. My success as an entrepreneur and in traditional business ventures positions me uniquely to guide our State through tough economic times as well as provide the vision to lead us to a prosperous future.
I will control the State's budget and continue our present business friendly tax climate.
I will continue to promote the enhancement of our natural resource base. As a member of the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees I have supported ventures such as the GE-UW Coal Gasification Research Pilot Plant.
I will continue to support projects such as the NCAR super computer project.
I will promote and sign legislation to end anticompetitive practices that stifle our agricultural industry.
I will enhance the climate for private sector job creation. Taxes and regulation will be minimized.

Education
I will reinstate the First Amendment right to have voluntary prayer in our schools
I will work with and direct the State Department of Education to strengthen the support for our home school program.
I will work with local school districts to stem the 20-25% high school dropout rate.
I will work with the local school districts to better prepare college bound students so we avoid remediating and/or losing 20-25% of our freshman students.
I will support the development of a strong vocational track in our high schools.

Sanctity of Life

I will promote and sign comprehensive legislation to protect the life of the unborn unequivocally, no exceptions.

Environment

I will exercise Wyoming's Tenth Amendment rights to manage the natural resources within our borders. This includes plants and animals, without interference or direction from Federal officials.
I will enforce the Weed and Pest Act, beginning by addressing the Mountain Pine Beetle devastation.
I will enforce Wyoming's environmental quality statutes to protect the health and welfare of individual citizens.

THE MOST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE

I am a conservative, traditional American who believes that the Constitution of the United States of America is a divinely ·inspired text. I also believe in the Ten Commandments as the word of God and a guide to decision making and daily living.

The political party apparatus has been hijacked by career politicians and power hungry individuals. The leadership of both parties has failed to stand up on behalf of their constituents and have failed to hold those within their parties accountable. As Governor I will hold every elected official in Wyoming accountable to you the citizen, and when the Federal Government oversteps its boundaries, I will DRAW THE LINE at the state line.

VISION STATEMENT
"A PHYSICIANS DIAGNOSIS"

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness is still treasured in Wyoming. "Wyoming is what America was" is the essence of why I am running for Governor.

Wyoming's strength comes from its vibrant, hard working people, its great natural resource wealth and its unparalleled scenic beauty. This rich base can revitalize our State's as well as our Republic's economy and can be the footing of the foundation for energy independence. We in Wyoming can bring industry back to the United States and clean energy is but one of the possibilities.

But, the unchecked encroachment of Washington, from health care "reform" to finance "reform", overbearing regulation to punitive taxation, redistributive entitlements to their attack on traditional values, is threatening to limit, indeed has already limited, these possibilities and our future.

We must tum back this tide and reclaim our potential.

We must contain the Federal Government to its constitutionally legitimate roll. We CAN accomplish this by exercising the constitutional authority vested in Wyoming at statehood and returning to our traditional Christian values.

We must protect what we've been given.

We must DRAW THE LINE.

SPLITTING THE VOTE?

WILL A WRITE-IN FOR TAYLOR HAYNES SPLIT THE VOTE AND ALLOW THE DEMOCRAT TO WIN?

In the primary election 82% of the vote went to Republicans and 18% to Democrats.
Eighty-two percent cannot be split in a way that allows a Democrat victory.
