Ted Strickland is standing up for our middle class and putting Ohio values first.

Wall Street greed and Washington politics brought our economy to its knees, costing Ohio thousands of jobs.

Ted Strickland opposed NAFTA and other policies that have cost Ohio thousands of jobs. Ted believes in growing jobs from the bottom up.

Investing in Education - Even while making deep budget cuts in state government, Ted Strickland increased support for our schools to create opportunity for our children and prepare them for the jobs of tomorrow.

Making Ohio More Business-Friendly - Ted Strickland has made it easier to do business in Ohio. He has worked to increase access to capital for small businesses and erased and amended over 2,000 state business regulations. After seeing through critical tax reform, Ohio now has the lowest business taxes in the Midwest.

Property Tax Relief for Seniors - In a tough economy, we all struggle. Ted Strickland has held the line on taxes in these tough times and even expanded eligibility for homestead tax credits, lowering the property tax of every senior in Ohio.

Ted Strickland and Yvette McGee Brown Believe in Ohio.

John Kasich is the Congressman from Wall Street. He's spent a career outsourcing Ohio jobs.

John Kasich is personally responsible for outsourcing good Ohio jobs. In Congress and on Wall Street, John Kasich fought for bad trade deals that have sent Ohio jobs to Mexico, China, and India.
Kasich in his Wall Street Office. As Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, Kasich received a nearly half-million dollar bonus the same year it went bankrupt.
John Kasich supported NAFTA in Congress, costing Ohio tens of thousands of jobs.
In Congress, Kasich fought for NAFTA and Most Favored Nation status for China, bad trade deals that have cost Ohio hundreds of thousands of jobs. (HR 3450, Vote #575, 11/17/1993; HJR 103, Vote #405, 7/18/2000)

John Kasich pushed Ohio pension funds to invest in his company, Lehman Bros, whose collapse cost retirees millions.
As a result of Lehman Brothers' collapse, Ohio pension funds lost hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of seniors and others close to retirement lost their life savings. (AP 7/22/2010, 4/19/2010)

Governor Ted Strickland & Yvette McGee Brown
Moving Ohio forward

We are moving Ohio forward by investing in education, health care and good jobs – the types of jobs that will help feed a family, pay a mortgage, and support
a community.

We are rebuilding our economy from the ground-up, starting with our schools. By fully funding education, we can give our children the future they deserve – right here in Ohio.

We believe that with every Ohioan working together, we will be able to overcome any obstacle and create a bright future for our children and for future generations.

"I BELIEVE IN OHIO. I believe in our people and our values.

"In Ohio, we value our children, and their education. We passed comprehensive education reform so our children get the education they need to compete for jobs in the global economy.

"In Ohio we value hard work. I opposed NAFTA and other trade agreements that ship Ohio jobs overseas. We are investing in energy and logistics jobs that can't be outsourced.

"In Ohio we value seniors and retirees. We expanded the homestead property tax exemption for seniors, delivering an average tax cut of over $400 per family per year."
