JOBS AHEAD

GOVERNOR PAT QUINN

IS GETTING ILLINOIS BACK TO WORK.

I L L I N O I S
Illinois is #1 in job growth in the midwest.
1
Governor Quinn will keep us on the road to recovery.

The First Illinois Jobs Bill in Over a Decade
Governor Quinn passed the first Illinois jobs bill in a decade – succeeding where other leaders have been unable to. The bill, Illinois Jobs Now!, will create or save 439,000 jobs across the state, while also improving out bridges. roads and schools.

Bringing New Industry and More Jobs to Illinois

More than 22,000 jobs, have been created as a result of Governor Quinn's Put Illinois to Work program. And Governor Quinn has worked to help the state's hard-hit auto industry, and as a result, Ford is investing $400 million in its Chicago plants, creating 1,200 new jobs.

Cutting More Government Spending Than Any Other Illinois Governor

Governor Quinn proposed a budget with the biggest cuts in state spending in Illinois history – cutting $3 billion from the budget while protecting health care, education and public services. His pension reform bill will save Illinois $200 billion and strengthen the pension system.

Giving Big Help to Small Businesses

Governor Quinn has spearheaded targeted tax credits tailored to small businesses in order to help them grow and hire more workers. And since January 2009, his Illinois Entrepreneurship Network helped to start 473 new businesses.

Enforcing Equal Pay for Equal Work

Governor Quinn stands firmly against salary discrimination of any kind and signed a bill into law that gives employees more power to address underpayment in the workplace.

FINALLY A GOVERNOR
FOR US.

Bill Brady:
Too Extreme for Illinois.

Bill Brady pushed his extreme right social agenda throughout his 17 years in the state assembly. Brady supports the failed economic policies of George W. Bush, putting the interests of big corporations ahead of working families.

• Brady called for lowering the lllinois minimum wage.

• Brady voted against restrictions on semi-automatic assault weapons.

• Brady doesn't support equal pay for equal work.

• Brady voted against maternity leave for new mothers.

• Brady supports tax breaks for big oil and the wealthy.

Bill Brady's views are too far outside the mainstream to lead Illinois.

MEET GOVERNOR PAT QUINN

Governor Pat Quinn has a 40-year history
of fighting for ethics and transparency at all levels of government.

Throughout his public life, Pat Quinn repeatedly defied Illinois' political culture of corruption – pushing legislation to outlaw pay-to-play. In 2009, his first act as Governor established the Illinois Reform Commission. Later that year, he signed into law campaign contribution limits.

As State Treasurer, Pat Quinn worked with banks to increase access to small business loans, creating jobs and economic opportunity at virtually no cost to taxpayers. Since taking office, Governor Quinn has continued to create new jobs and opportunities for Illinois' working families. In April 2009, Governor Quinn signed into law the first capital construction program in years, Illinois Jobs Now!, which will create hundreds of thousands of jobs in Illinois. And this year, he proposed the largest cut in government spending in state history.

Governor Pat Quinn earned his law degree at Northwestern University's School of Law. He is the proud father of two grown sons, Patrick and David.
