IMMEDIATELY DEMAND OPEN ACCESS TO JAPANESE MARKETS FOR ALL U.S. GOODS AND SERVICES.

"Our long time one way trading partner, Japan, is systematically transferring our national wealth to their pockets through a perpetual trade imbalance, which no one, including the President, has had the guts to address."

ATTACK THE NATIONAL DEBT.
"The deficit spending binge has driven this Nation to the brink of economic chaos. Failure to address our debt and deficit is destroying the economic future of the Country including our pensions, our best lands and buildings, and our industrial base. The American public is experiencing the effect of excessive spending and knows that something is desperately wrong."

WITHIN 24 MONTHS, DEFINE AND IMPLEMENT A NATIONAL HEALTH POLICY WHICH GUARANTEES ACCESS AT REASONABLE COSTS FOR ALL AMERICANS.
"The health care system in the U.S. is a mess. Four dollar aspirin, excessive health insurance costs, litigation and simple greed are making basic health care inaccessible and outrageously expensive for all Americans."

"I am an American for Americans, not a politician serving the will of special interests. Politicians have charted a course for us on a sea of red ink.

They react rather than plan ... they place self-preservation above honest dealing ... they have forgotten their oaths to serve the American people."

''Many of us grew up when America was the land of opportunity ... when we led the world in industrial output ... when we didn't fear for the economic security of our families and the future generations of Americans. ''

Jim Lennane is running for President because he firmly believes its time for strong, enlightened and honest leadership. Like you ... he is tired of political self-dealings and special privileges for elected officials. He views the Congress as a open market for lobbyists and special interests ... and he finds it deplorable.

Jim Lennane built an international company from scratch ... he hired American workers ... he competed worldwide in one of the toughest, most competitive high tech markets on earth ... and he won.

''We want America's greatness back ... and the vast majority of us are willing to work for it ... to sacrifice for it. We should demand nothing less from our leadership. We need men and women who understand how to create free enterprise jobs, compete and succeed ... not just mouth empty words. In short, we need a new breed of elected leaders. ''

"I believe that the greatness of America is founded in the family ... In our respect for one another ... in a solid education for all of our children ... and in our willingness to work together to overcome adversity."

AN INTERVIEW

Q. Jim, why are you running for president?

A. Like so many Americans, I have become disillusioned with elected government officials and the bureaucracy. Today, we are all concerned about our economic and social decline. We have quit regarding problems as challenges. We are being told by our foreign competition and the media that our products are junk and the fault rests with the American worker. I say it's time to turn our self-image and world-image around.

Q. Do you support protectionism?

A. Absolutely not. Protectionism is a form of contraction. If we crawl into our shell we'll be crushed. We should start thinking in terms of expanding the potential for American products and services. The President should go to our trading partners and demand open markets for our goods and services NOW ... not 6 or 10 months from now ... but NOW!

Q. What about our defense budget?

A. No one in America wants us to be a second-class military power. Yet, the Defense Department's procurement policies demand close scrutiny. Every big defense contractor uses high paid lobbyists to secure contracts and billions of dollars are wasted on huge overruns. Americans want a dollar's worth of defense for a tax dollar spent ... and we can do that!

Q. Do you think the president's trip to Asia accomplished anything?

A. No! Mr. Bush may have entertained hopes that Japan's trading policies would change with the visit, but the Japanese have no inclination to help America unless it serves their self interests.

Q. Why are you qualified to be president?

A. I'm a man of honor. My word is – and always has been – my bond. I have created wealth from a modest beginning both for myself and those who shared the risk with me. I have spent my life in the work place, both in the U.S. and overseas ... never in politics. I've competed in foreign markets ... and I've won. What comes from my lips comes from my heart ... not from some lobbyist or pressure group. My goal is to regain the great strength of America for all Americans!

Q. What can you do for the people of New Hampshire?

A. It's not right to seek local votes by "pork barreling". The situation in New Hampshire – like many other states – is economic and it hurts families and small businesses. I think the concept of foreclosing on homes and businesses has gone berserk. Often the original landowner could save his property if the mortgage was extended for some period at an interest rate closer to a bank's true cost of funds ... say 4 to 5%.
