Michael Bennet to Make Several Stops in South Carolina This Weekend
DENVER — Michael Bennet will
travel to South Carolina this weekend for the time-honored political
traditions of Congressman Jim Clyburn’s Fish Fry, the Blue Palmetto
Dinner, and the South Carolina Democratic Party Convention. He will
participate in various other events in Columbia, including a lunch he
is convening on Saturday for South Carolina elected officials, county
chairs, and activists.

Kamala Harris to Return to South Carolina to Campaign June 21 and 22
On June 21 and 22, Kamala Harris will return to South Carolina where
she will attend the South Carolina Democratic Party’s Convention and
Congressman James Clyburn’s World Famous Fish Fry. She will also hold
meet and greets with South Carolina women and with party officials from
across the state and participate in Planned Parenthood Action’s forum
on reproductive rights. Harris recently released a
plan to protect women’s access to
health care, which would require states like South Carolina to obtain
approval from her Department of Justice before any abortion law or
practice can take effect.
Prior to the convention on Saturday, Harris will hold a rally with
volunteers from across South Carolina. Harris’ South Carolina campaign
recently announced a paid organizing presence in every region of the
state and opened an office in Columbia earlier this week.
This will be Harris’ eighth trip to South Carolina as a presidential
candidate. She previously held town halls and meet and greets in
several locations across the state including Anderson, Charleston,
Columbia, Greenville, Hemingway, Holly Hill, Myrtle Beach, Orangeburg,
Rock Hill, St. George, and Spartanburg. She also visited several
women-owned businesses, stopped by Rodney Scott’s BBQ for lunch, gave
the keynote address at the SC NAACP Freedom Fund dinner and attended
the Pink Ice Gala with her fellow AKAs in Columbia.

Fry, Planned Parenthood Action Fund Forum
Inslee will meet with
South Carolina Democrats to discuss his vision to defeat climate change
and his commitment to reproductive rights
Seattle – Governor Jay Inslee will travel to South Carolina on Friday
and Saturday, bringing his vision to defeat climate change to the South
Carolina Democratic Convention and speaking in support of reproductive
rights at a forum hosted by Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Inslee will
talk with local Democrats and legislators about his plans to grow jobs
in South Carolina and around the country in a clean energy economy.
On Friday, June 21st, at 6:00 PM ET, Inslee will join South Carolina
Democrats at the annual Blue Palmetto Dinner. Afterwards, Inslee will
attend his former colleague Representative Jim Clyburn’s Fish Fry at
7:00 PM ET. Gov. Inslee and Rep. Clyburn both entered Congress in 1993
and served together for 14 years.
On Saturday, June 22nd at 1:50 PM ET, Inslee will participate in the
first-ever presidential primary event devoted entirely to women’s
health. The forum, hosted by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, will
question candidates about their records on reproductive rights and
healthcare access. As governor, Inslee signed Washington state’s
Reproductive Parity Act, a significant step to expand women’s health
coverage for a range of reproductive services including abortion.
Saturday’s forum comes as the South Carolina State Senate plans to
consider a “heartbeat bill” abortion ban. Inslee will talk about why
attacks on reproductive freedom are irresponsible and unethical, and
will articulate his plans for protecting women’s healthcare autonomy.
Later, at 2:05 PM on Saturday, Inslee will attend the South Carolina
Democratic Convention, where he’ll speak to local Democrats to
highlight Washington successes and how they can be expanded nationwide.
As governor, Inslee has passed a landmark progressive agenda, including
creating the country’s first public option and raising the minimum
wage, while creating the fastest-growing economy in the nation.
In April, Inslee visited South Carolina as part of his “Climate Mission
Tour,” meeting with climate activists and local Democrats. Inslee
toured solar facilities at Furman University and met with ReGenesis
Project leaders to discuss how clean energy can be incorporated into
revitalization efforts. Inslee’s conversations focused on environmental
justice and how to create new jobs by expanding clean energy
production, and next week’s trip will continue to expand on these
topics.

This weekend, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will return to
Florida and South Carolina. In
Florida, Senator Klobuchar will participate in the
National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO)
Presidential Candidate Forum in Miami. In South Carolina,
Senator Klobuchar will attend the Blue Palmetto Dinner and
speak at Congressman Jim Clyburn’s World Famous Fish Fry and the South

Crisscross South Carolina to Meet with Prominent Local Activists,
Candidates, and Elected Officials
Salem, MA - This weekend from Friday, June 21 through Sunday June
23, Seth Moulton will be traveling across South Carolina to meet with
activists, voters, and current elected officials and prospective
candidates. Seth will be focusing on the importance of grassroots
activism and local politics as he travels across the state.
On Friday night (the 21st), Seth will attend an event with US Rep Joe
Cunningham in Columbia and then speak at US Rep. Jim Clyburn's Fish
Fry, a famous stop on the 2020 campaign trail.
On Saturday morning (June 22nd), Seth will speak at two major
conferences. He will begin with the South Carolina Democratic Party's
annual convention at 3pm in Columbia, and then will go to a Planned
Parenthood Forum on the campus of the University of South Carolina,
again demonstrating Seth's continued commitment to bringing his
campaign to college campuses and his longstanding dedication to
reproductive rights.
On Sunday (June 23rd), Seth will begin with morning prayer services at
Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Seth will then campaign at
2:30pm with State House candidate Carrie Counton in Greenville by going
door-to-door to demonstrate that Democrats can compete everywhere. He
will then meet with Greenville Democrats at 4pm, wrapping up a
whirlwind trip across South Carolina.
