Meet Eric Hovde

FATHER
Eric and his wife Sharon have been happily married for 26 years. They reside in Madison and have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.

HUMANITARIAN
Eric and his brother started a foundation that builds "Hovde Homes" in Wisconsin and across the world, providing shelter, care, and love to vulnerable children who have been abandoned, enslaved, and sex-trafficked.

WISCONSINITE
Eric is a fourth generation Wisconsinite and traces his roots back to his great­-grandparents, who immigrated from Norway. Raised in Madison, he went to East High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

ENTREPRENEUR
A classic entrepreneur, Eric founded and managed his first business in his twenties, and went on to start and build many others. He has made a career out of rolling up his sleeves, getting businesses back on the right track, and building for the future.

EDUCATION
Eric firmly supports charter schools. A child's zip code should not dictate their access to a quality education. Public schools in Milwaukee are failing, and he will fight to make a variety of educational options available and affordable for Wisconsin families.

ECONOMY
With food prices up 21%, rent up 19%, and electricity up 28%, Eric is committed to stopping the reckless government spending that's driving up costs.
