"As an Independent, I spend every day working to bridge the partisan divide and bring people together to work across party lines.

That's the only way we're going to solve the difficult issues facing our nation, and I think there's a critical role for me to play.

I'll always bring people together to get things done for Maine."

Angus King is an independent leader, getting things done for Maine.

TACKLING RISING COSTS

Angus King is committed to making everyday life more affordable for hardworking Maine people. He has worked to lower the cost of health care and energy, address the affordable housing shortage facing the state, expand access to home ownership for teachers and first responders, and curb electricity costs through strategic investments in the energy grid.

PROTECTING SENIORS AND VETERANS
Angus supported a law to cap out-of-pocket prescription costs for seniors and to cap the price of insulin at $35 a month. He has led efforts to expand VA benefits and has brought funding home for dozens of community programs for seniors and veterans.

FROM BRIDGES TO BROADBAND
Angus believes that Maine is like one big small town, connected by very long streets - so he was proud to play a role in crafting the historic bipartisan infrastructure bill, so that Maine's roads, bridges, ports, and airports get long-needed repairs or reconstruction. Angus also played an important role in bringing the funding for universal broadband to our smallest towns as well as our largest cities.

Angus is bringing down-to-earth common sense to Washington – and it's paying off for Maine.
