"We can
do better in Indiana by guaranteeing a world-class
public school education for all students that leads
to great-paying union jobs. We must do better by
standing for the decency of equal pay for equal
work. We will do better by fighting for individual
liberties and freedoms for all Hoosiers.
Together we can build a future where every voice is heard, every person is valued, and every opportunity is within reach."

McCormick-Goodin Team Seeks to End Two Decades of One-Party Rule in Indiana
A Pro-Hoosier, Pro-Growth Agenda
Over the past few years, radical and extreme voices have quickly taken over Indiana politics. The McCormick-Goodin Team will take them on directly, supporting laws that protect everyday Hoosiers and standing up to career politicians who take away personal liberties and freedoms so we can make Indiana a place where all can live, work, and thrive.
A Common-Sense Approach for Everyday Hoosiers
The McCormick-Goodin Team will bring common sense, civility, and bipartisanship back to the Statehouse. Jennifer and Terry will support the hard-working Hoosier middle class that built Indiana through the dignity of work and good faith bargaining. They will stand with workers and unions across the state, returning Indiana to a place where all Hoosiers benefit from high-wage job opportunities and accessible, affordable housing.
A Commitment to Public Schools and Hoosier Students, Educators, and Communities
A great public education remains the best investment in our most valuable treasure—our children. Jennifer and Terry have each spent decades championing for children, their families, and the educators who serve them. As the last elected State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jennifer demonstrated fiscal responsibility by using taxpayer dollars effectively and efficiently while managing over half of Indiana’s state budget.

McCormick Campaign Seeks to End Two Decades of One-Party Rule in Indiana
A Lifelong Educator and Champion for Children
As a public school teacher, principal, superintendent and the last elected State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jennifer has always been a tireless advocate for our children. As State Superintendent, she took on political power brokers who were negatively impacting our schools and fought for what was right for kids, teachers and parents. Jennifer demonstrated fiscal responsibility by using taxpayer dollars effectively and efficiently while managing over half of Indiana’s state budget.
A Story of Serving the People—Not a Party
Jennifer was first elected statewide as a Republican in 2016, but as Republicans ushered in extreme, out-of-touch policies and divisive politics, the Republican party excluded many of its voters—including Jennifer. Jennifer spent the next several years traveling Indiana to hear about the real issues Hoosiers face. After listening to countless fellow Hoosiers, Jennifer switched parties. She saw only one party truly fighting for the people and sharing the values she believes in—public service, excellence and empowering others. She is now a proud Democrat.
A Common-Sense Approach for Everyday Hoosiers
Jennifer is running for Governor of Indiana because she is tired of the extreme supermajority’s focus on fringe issues that have nothing to do with the real issues facing Hoosiers. She believes it is time to stand up to elect a leader who puts Hoosiers first. She will bring common sense and bipartisanship back to the State House. Jennifer will stand up to policies that are dismantling public education, stripping Hoosiers of their personal rights and freedoms, and leaving rural communities behind.

The Pathway Delivering Real Change
Building a Lasting Operation
Jennifer understands the importance of moving away from cyclical, candidate-centered infrastructure toward year-round sustainable organizing. She is committed to being a leader in this grassroots effort and building an infrastructure of Democratic support that will be there long after this election. Your support and early investments in building name recognition with a talented campaign team will equip Jennifer to demonstrate her strength as a candidate by mobilizing voters to end two decades of one-party rule in Indiana.
Tapping into an Electorate Ready for Change
A lifelong Hoosier who grew up on a family farm in New Castle and has also lived in urban Indiana, Jennifer knows the diversity of Hoosier voters and their stories. With a proven statewide candidate like Jennifer who can speak directly to Hoosiers, she is the candidate to break the Republican stronghold and restore common sense to Indiana.
A Pro-Hoosier, Pro-Growth Agenda
Radical and extreme voices have quickly taken over Indiana politics in the past few years. Under their failed, unpopular agenda, businesses and people are fleeing Indiana because of divisive, anti-growth policies. Jennifer will take them on directly, supporting laws—like lowering our gas tax—that support everyday Hoosiers and standing up to laws that take away health care rights so we can make Indiana a place where all can live, work and thrive.
The Indiana Governor's Race is a Toss-Up

Undecided: 18%

Hoosiers are ready for a new direction. 54% of voters are clearly dissatisfied with the direction of the State after right-wing extremists passed a first-in-the-nation post-Dobbs abortion ban, and chronically underfunded public schools.
