North Dakota is the leading producer in the USA for spring wheat, durum wheat, oats, canola, flaxseed, and more. We need to do more to support growth in those markets and leverage the state's unique growing environment for cooler weather crops. We need to give our growers alternatives so they can prosper.

Education
 
I believe in fully funding public education. That means we need to support schools to employ enough teachers, counselors, social workers, and other trained professionals to support every student and thereby support teachers and allow for learning. We need to provide resources to improve mental, social and behavioral health outcomes in our schools. We need to let teachers teach.

Energy
 
North Dakota is one of the largest energy producers in the country but shockingly, for more than a decade into the oil boom, very little has been established to establish industries that flourish here in the face of technology disruption. We need a senator who can separate the boondoggles from the real opportunities. Katrina can do this, as a trained engineer.

Healthcare
 
Healthcare is a human right. We need to build on to the success of the Affordable Care Act and now the Inflation Reduction Act to make affordable access to health care and prescription drugs a reality for all Americans.

Ingredients
Makes 20 Pancakes
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 tablespoon of Honey
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of buttermilk

1.  Mix together the dry ingredients
2.  Beat eggs into the buttermilk and melted butter
3.  Gently stir milk mixture into dry, leave a few lumps
4.  Heat your griddle, butter and make any size pancake
5.  Flip when the bubbles rise
6.  Cook the second side until lightly browned
7.  Serve with syrup or jam.
