MEET CHERI BEASLEY
Cheri and her husband, Curt, raised their twin sons right here in a home steeped in faith, passing on to them the values of honesty, integrity and justice.

Cheri has served our state for over two decades, first as a public defender and then as a judge. In 2019, Cheri became the first African American woman to serve as Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court. Throughout her service, Cheri has always focused on upholding the Constitution, protecting our rights, and keeping communities safe—no matter the politics.

As Chief Justice and head of our court system, Cheri created the first human trafficking court in North Carolina to hold traffickers accountable and support victims. She also implemented a paid family leave policy for court employees to help them take care of their families and succeed in their jobs.

Cheri knows politicians in Washington have lost touch with the people they swore to serve. She will be a senator who calls it like she sees it and puts North Carolina first—just like she did as Chief Justice.
