DELIVERING FOR ARIZONA FAMILIES

Growing up as the son of two police officers, I learned the importance of public service early. So I joined the Navy and flew 39 combat missions before becoming an astronaut with NASA, where I commanded the space shuttle. In the Senate, I see every day how the division in Washington holds us back and hurts Arizona families. I do things differently – putting Arizona first and working with Democrats and Republicans to deliver results, such as:

• Making Washington work for Arizona, not corporations, by introducing legislation to ban corporate PACs, require members of Congress to publish their official schedules, and ban Congress from trading stocks – steps I've already taken.

• Brokering a deal to lower prescription drug costs by letting Medicare negotiate prices, capping the out-of-pocket cost of insulin, and passing savings on to all Americans.

• Passing the historic bipartisan infrastructure law to improve Arizona's roads and bridges, upgrade water infrastructure, and expand high-speed internet access.

• Working to lower costs at the pump and at the grocery store by introducing bills to temporarily suspend the gas tax and cut red tape to boost our trucking workforce and combat supply chain issues.

• Creating good-paying jobs right here in Arizona by leading the charge to invest in microchip manufacturing, reducing our reliance on foreign sources and easing supply chain demands.
