Closing Ads
The McAuliffe campaign closed with a fairly
standard ad showing McAuliffe talking to the camera.
He referred to his accomplishments as governor, raised the
prospects of cuts to public education and threats to a
women's right to choose if his opponent were to win, but did
not highlight any specific goals he would seek to achieve if
he were elected. The Youngkin campaign ran an
elaborately choreographed ad that opened with what looked
like a zombie army of "the same career politicians" marching
up a road and closed with Youngkin, backed by a diverse
crowd of several hundred, speaking to the camera. In
remarks and on-screen text Youngkin clearly hit three main
points: safer communities, better education and lower taxes.

McAULIFFE: When I
was governor, I had a simple rule. There were no
Republican ideas or Democratic ideas, only good ideas.
And I’m proud we worked together, creating hundreds of
thousands of jobs, a record investment in education, and
we moved Virginia forward.
But today, there are those who want to take us back.
They’re looking to cut money from public education and
eliminate a woman’s right to choose. We cannot let that
happen.
I’m asking for your vote. Working together, we will build
a better future for Virginia.

NEW TV AD: Terry for Virginia Releases Closing
Argument Ad: “Ideas”
MCLEAN, VA – Terry for Virginia today released the
campaign’s closing ad “Ideas,”
highlighting Terry McAuliffe’s record of moving Virginia
forward – a message that launched the campaign in January
and will carry it through Election Day. As governor, Terry
worked in a bipartisan way to build a stronger economy,
creating 200,000 new jobs and making a record $1 billion
investment in Virginia’s education system, and as Virginia’s
next governor, Terry will build on that progress.
Glenn Youngkin has spent his entire campaign pushing Donald
Trump’s divisive, dangerous agenda across the Commonwealth,
from ending a woman’s right to choose to defunding public
education. On Tuesday, Virginia voters will head to the
polls to reject Glenn Youngkin and vote for Terry McAuliffe
to build on his strong ideas and keep Virginia moving
forward.

"Our Moment"

YOUNGKIN: For too
long we’ve been told by the same career politicians that
more government control is the answer, but this election
isn’t about them, it’s about us.
It’s about law enforcement that needs our support to keep
Virginia safe.
Parents who want a better education for our kids.
And Virginians who deserve lower taxes.
Together we can build a better future that works for us.
This is our moment.
On November 2nd a new day begins in Virginia!

The October 29 press release:
"On November 2, a new day begins in Virginia"
FALLS CHURCH, VA – Political outsider, successful
business leader, and Republican nominee for governor Glenn
Youngkin today released his closing campaign ad
entitled “Our Moment,” which highlights Youngkin’s
positive vision of safer communities, better schools, and a
lower cost of living for Virginia families.
Youngkin’s closing ad completes the narrative laid out
in his first general election ad released
nearly five months ago on June 8, “A New Day.”
“Our Moment” depicts the story of the race, with Republicans,
Independents, Democrats, and Virginians of all colors and
backgrounds coming together, leaving the same old politicians
of the past behind, and bringing a new day to Virginia on
November 2nd. This race may have started with a campaign, but
now it is a movement.
