After years of Republican leadership that failed to invest in our future, Gov. Lujan Grisham has put New Mexico on the right track:

• Achieved record-high graduation rates for New Mexico students while also raising teacher pay to be the most competitive in the region.

• Cut the tax on Social Security benefits, so most seniors will no longer pay a state tax on their Social Security.

• Passed a working families tax credit and expanded tax creditsfor New Mexicans — especially seniors on fixed incomes.

• New Mexicans can get up to 64 hours of paid sick leave per year — even for part-time or temporary work.

• To fight inflation, tax-paying families in New Mexico received up to $1,500.

• Created Opportunity Scholarships so any New Mexican can get a degree or certificate tuition-free.

• Worked around the dock to help contain the devastating fires and get relief directly to families and landowners.
