Due to Florida being open, Florida has outpaced the nation in jobs, economic growth, new business formations, and tourism. Under the leadership of Governor DeSantis, Florida enjoys a record budget surplus.

EDUCATION
Guaranteed the ability of parents to send their kids to school in-person, enacted substantive protections for parents' rights in education, provided record amount of funding for k-12 schools, secured the largest increase in teacher compensation in Florida history, promoted workforce training and civics education, froze tuition at Florida's state universities, and preserved Bright Future scholarships.

PUBLIC SAFETY
Signed legislation prohibiting local governments from defunding law enforcement, secured $1k bonuses for all police, fire, and EMT personnel, enacted largest law enforcement recruitment and retention package in the nation.

ENVIRONMENT
Secured a record $3.3 billion to safeguard Florida's natural resources, improve water quality and restore Florida's Everglades. Enacted water quality legislation and invested tens of millions of dollars for mitigation of blue-green algae and red tide.

From the Panhandle to the Keys, Governor DeSantis has spent three and a half years enacting policies to support our families. Because of his leadership, the Sunshine State has thrived.

Governor DeSantis is a Florida native with humble beginnings and is the embodiment of the American Dream. He has seen Florida through the years and wants to leave our state better for the next generation.

Governor DeSantis attended Dunedin High School, worked his way through Yale University, and then graduated from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer. During his active-duty service, he deployed to Iraq as an adviser to a U.S. Navy SEAL commander and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service. He served as a federal prosecutor and a U.S. Congressman before being elected Governor in 2018.

WHAT'S AT STAKE THIS NOVEMBER?
 
In 2018, Governor DeSantis narrowly won the election by 32,000 votes against Democrat Andrew Gillum. At that time, there were nearly 300,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in the state of Florida. Imagine what Florida would have looked like over the past three and a half years if Governor DeSantis had not won. Children might still be locked out of schools, our economy would be suffering from the COVID lockdowns, Floridians would be forced to choose between a jab and their job, students would be learning woke gender ideology and Critical Race Theory in the classroom, and our police would be defunded.

In contrast, Governor DeSantis led the nation with a freedom-first response to the pandemic. Florida is the state that didn't turn to tyranny in the face of uncertainty. Governor DeSantis protected the rights of citizens to work, keep their businesses open, hug their loved ones, breathe freely, and keep their children in school. As a result, Florida's children are not facing the same learning losses that locked-down states are, Florida's tourism numbers are the highest they have ever been, and Florida is outpacing the national average in new business formations. Florida is a shining example that no matter the circumstances, freedom always prevails.

As we look toward November, the stakes could not be higher for this upcoming election. Our freedoms are on the line. Florida Republicans continue to outpace Democrats in voter registration, but we must continue to fight for the future of our state and show up on Election Day. We cannot let our state fall to authoritarian, arbitrary, and seemingly never-ending mandates and restrictions. A vote for Governor DeSantis is a vote to keep our communities safe, keep our economy thriving, keep our students educated and not indoctrinated, and keep our beautiful Florida environment preserved for generations to come.
