Andy Beshear
Fighting for a Kentucky that works for ALL OF US.
ANDY BESHEAR
DEMOCRAT FOR KENTUCKY
JACQUELINE COLEMAN LT GOVERNOR
"This race is about right vs. wrong. I'll be a governor who does right by our neighbors and makes people's lives better."
—Andy Beshear
Andy and his wife Brittany are raising their two children.
A husband, father and attorney general, Andy Beshear stands up to bullies—whether it's Matt Bevin, big insurance companies, opioid manufacturers and distributors or anyone else hurting Kentucky families.
As your attorney general, Andy Beshear:
- Addressed the backlog of 5,000 untested rape kits, making Kentucky the first state to clear its backlog.
- Became the most aggressive attorney general in the country on opioids, suing 9 opioid companies and providing settlement money straight to our Kentucky communities.
- Defended the pensions of 200,000 Kentuckians—like our teachers and first responders—from Matt Bevin's illegal cuts, arguing personally in front of the Kentucky Supreme Court and winning 7-0.
- Protected seniors from scammers by creating a scam alert system and returning $2 million in stolen money.

"My faith teaches me that we should be looking out for the most vulnerable among us, the lost, the lonely, the left behind—the people whose voices are rarely heard in the halls of power." —Andy Beshear
Andy chose Jacqueline Coleman—an active educator—as his running mate because he values the voices of our teachers.
As governor, Andy Beshear will:
- Fully fund and strengthen public schools.
- Protect health care, so insurance companies can't deny coverage because of pre-existing conditions or hike up prescription prices.
- Protect the pension system because a pension is a promise and our workers deserve a secure retirement.
- Create good-paying jobs across Kentucky—instead of giving out-of-state CEOs handouts while your bills go up and your wages stay the same.
- Work to end the opioid epidemic by focusing on prevention, treatment and recovery.
On November 5th,
