•  Strengthened national defense, pushed for a strategy on cyber security, and helped secure needed funding for the Offutt runway

•  Helped write a five-year highway bill with $1.5 billion for Nebraska roads and pushed new ideas to pay for roads without raising taxes

•  Completed levies that protect drinking water for two-thirds of Nebraskans

•  Fought misguided regulations thwarting the American dream of owning a home

•  Sponsored critical legislation signed into law allowing the Omaha VA to move forward with an innovative, new public-private partnership model and worked with stakeholders to resolve campus redevelopment issues for Lincoln veterans

•  Worked across the aisle to address broadband gaps for rural Nebraska an urban communities

•  Stood up for working families with legislation to incentivize paid family leave and ensure equal pay for equal work

•  Protected crop insurance, promoted new trade opportunities with Israel, and expanded the domestic market for biofuels
 
Deb Fischer is a lifelong Nebraskan. Born in Lincoln, she married a cattle rancher and raised her family in the sandhills of Cherry County. She has spent her time in public service working to strengthen our communities and make our nation more secure.
