IN THE SENATE TINA IS WORKING TO:

•    Build a diverse economy that works for everyone, so businesses grow and workers get better jobs and better pay

•    Lower the cost of prescription medications and hold Big Pharma accountable

•    Make sure young people have workforce training opportunities and skills to fill high-demand jobs

•    Protect our environment, fight climate change, and grow our clean energy economy

•    Pass commonsense gun reform and stand up to the NRA

•    Defend women's reproductive freedom and right to make their own health care decisions, and stand up to protect Roe v. Wade

Tina and her husband Archie have two sons, Sam and Mason, and two incredible daughters-in-law, Emily and Julia, who all live within five miles of each other.

Tina is a fierce advocate for all Minnesota families. She has spent her life standing up and fighting for progressive values—universal health care, world-class public education, and protecting the environment. But most of all, Tina listened to people and solved their problems—just like she is now doing in the Senate.

IN THE SENATE TINA IS:

 ►     Standing up to Big Pharma to hold them accountable and working to lower the cost of prescription medications. Tina's first bill in the Senate would close a loophole that allows drug companies to keep lower-cost generic drugs off the market, and save Minnesotans money.

►     Making sure young people have workforce training opportunities and the skills to fill high-demand jobs. Several provisions Tina championed were recently signed into law. which promote community and technical education where people can develop the skills they need to get good-paying jobs.

►    Fighting to make college more affordable and accessible to everyone. Tina is pushing a bill to help millions of Americans refinance their student debt, and successfully pushed to increase access to free online textbooks.

►     Protecting our environment, fighting climate change, and helping grow our clean energy economy.

►     Supporting our veterans by introducing legislation to make sure veterans get the benefits they deserve.

►    Working hard for Minnesota farmers on the Senate Agriculture Committee. Tina played a key role in helping to craft the Farm Bill that passed the Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support, and authored and championed several provisions that support farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across Minnesota.
