My
Vision for Minnesota
I will stand up with you against the economic forces squeezing Minnesota family budgets and limiting Minnesotan's dreams for the future. Working together, we can raise not just the minimum wage but all wages; make two years of college free for students willing to do the work; restore family to the heart of our economy by passing earned sick and safe leave and paid family leave; protect women's reproductive freedom; recognize health care is a human right and pass Medicare for All; expand the right to collectively bargain; invest in a new generation of transportation and communications infrastructure; combat climate change and return our energy future to the people by fostering renewable and distributed sources; and fight to balance the playing field for small businesses in the face of increasing concentrations of corporate wealth and privilege.
I will stand up for the dignity of all Minnesotans. Closing opportunity gaps in education, health care and jobs must be the lens through which all policy decisions are viewed. Public safety and criminal justice must mean safety and justice for all Minnesotans and the racism embedded in our institutions must be rooted out. And Minnesota will never turn its back on New Americans or refugees because it is politically expedient.
I am committed to governing with – and not for – all of you. The greatest crisis facing this state and our democracy is that too many people feel like their voice doesn't matter and that they no longer have the power to shape their future and that of their families and communities. I have and will stand up to special interests like the National Rifle Association, big oil and insurance companies, and Internet corporations who want to profit from our private information without our consent. I will empower and trust local leaders, neighborhoods and communities to seize their own destiny and achieve our common good. We do not need one big revolution, but hundreds of revolutions around the state over the real challenges that people face in their lives.

• Made All Day Kindergarten a reality
• Passed the largest expansion of labor rights in a generation
• Expanded health care to hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans including tens of thousands of Minnesota kids
• And we Made Love the Law by passing marriage equality
