✓ Empower families. When it comes to raising kids, family is better than government. Kristi will ensure all students have equal opportunity within the education system.

✓ Do more with every taxpayer dollar. We need to focus on creating a better system, not a more expensive one. Kristi will keep resources in classrooms, while building efficiencies into how schools purchase supplies and invest in capital projects.

✓ Encourage kids to explore in-demand jobs early. Kristi is committed to providing career counseling beginning at the middle-school level and helping at-risk children plan for their future.

✓ Promote civic education. Our republic only works if citizens are active and informed.

✓ Make college more affordable. Tuition costs have increased steadily. Kristi will challenge universities and technical schools to identify efficiencies and reinvest savings toward affordability.

✓ Increase on-time graduation. 1/3 of students are spending college credit hours and hard-earned dollars on remedial courses. At the same time, only 25% of SD students graduate in 4 years. Kristi will work to better prepare students for college, so they don't have to pay to catch up.

KRISTI NOEM for Governor
Kristi is a wife, an experienced small business owner, a lifelong farmer and rancher – and above all else, a mother. After a family tragedy, Kristi took over the family's farming operation. This experience motivated her to get involved in reforming government and fixing our broken tax code.

Kristi's run small businesses - a farm and ranch, hunting lodge, and more. She's served at the local level and in the state legislature. Since 2010, she's been representing South Dakota in Washington, gaining a deep understanding of how federal dollars flow to the states. This is experience no other candidate can bring to the governor's office.

Larry Rhoden for Lt. Governor
Larry is a lifelong West River rancher, a dedicated husband and father, and a proven leader with a record of service for South Dakota.

Growing up in the church, Larry understood true service at a young age. After graduating high school, he joined the South Dakota National Guard, serving six years. In 2000, Larr.y was elected to the state legislature, where his peers have repeatedly selected him to serve in leadership and he's shown an aptitude for getting things done.

Larry worked with Kristi to reform South Dakota's tax code, led efforts to repeal the so-called "Trucker's Tax," and shaped legislation to limit the government's eminent domain authority.

Larry Rhoden is a lifelong West River rancher, a dedicated husband and father, and a proven leader with a record of service for South Dakota.
 
Growing up in the church, Larry understood true service at a young age. After graduating high school,
he joined the South Dakota National Guard, serving six years and-carrying on a family legacy of military service that began in the Revolutionary War. While his children were young, he served as a church trustee, earned a seat on the local school board, and led the Board of Directors for the area Cenex.

In 2000, Larry was elected to the state legislature. During his time as a citizen legislator, his peers have repeatedly selected him to serve in leadership, and he's shown an aptitude for getting things done. Larry worked with Kristi to reform South Dakota's tax code, led efforts to repeal the so-called "Trucker's Tax;' and shaped legislation to limit the government's eminent domain authority. His work earned him the American Conservative Union's highest ranking in 2017.

Larry, who currently runs a cow-calf operation and custom welding business, still lives on the ranch where he was born and raised. He and his wife, Sandy, have four boys, two daughters-in-law, and one grandchild.
