*  Lowered the county tax rate in each of the last 3 years while replenishing county reserves.

*  Reduced the county workforce to the smallest number of government employees in 30 years.

CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY
*  National leader in supporting those with developmental disabilities launching the "Think Differently" initiative.
*  Organized nationally recognized mental health services with 24/7 mobile intervention team, crisis intervention training, and stabilization center to divert those with mental illness from emergency rooms and jail, providing treatment and saving tax dollars.
*  lnstituted domestic violence and sexual assault prevention in high schools.
*  Established integrated Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Response Teams with local
police departments, district attorneys and victim advocates.
*  Launched Peer-to-Peer Veterans Support Services and created Veterans Housing assistance to help homeless veterans.
