Notes: In her bid for a fifth term (first elected in 1992), Sen. Patty Murray (D) defeated Chris Vance (R), a former state rep. and King County councilman and former Republican state chairman who runs a public affairs consulting firm. There were two debates, on Oct. 16 at Gonzaga University in Spokane (>) and on Oct. 23 from the East Campus of Microsoft in Redmond (>). According to the FEC, for 2015-16 the Murray campaign reported disbursements of $8.4 million compared to $449,371 for the Vance campaign (>). . |
