Katie is the ninth of ten kids, raised by a police officer and a restaurant hostess in Northeast Philadelphia. Her middle-class roots run deep. Katie has spent her career working to protect the environment while creating new opportunities and jobs for Pennsylvania's working families. She ran a major White House office and worked in business on clean energy and water jobs. Now the mother of three, Katie will take her middle-class roots and working-mom common sense to fight for us in the U.S. Senate.

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE IN WASHINGTON
As the mother of three daughters and as a woman in the working world, Katie understands the challenges families face—from the need for affordable health care and childcare, to family and medical leave, to equal pay for equal work, to more secure jobs with benefits and a future, as well as the need to keep more of your paycheck instead of paying more taxes. She will bring her experience as a working mom to the U.S. Senate to go to bat for working families.
