MEET GREG
Greg Gianforte fell in love with Montana nearly 40 years ago when he first came to Montana on a school trip. After spending the summer hiking the backcountry, he knew this is where he wanted to build a life. It was in Bozeman, Montana where Greg and his wife Susan raised all four of their children. And it was in the same house that they raised their kids, where they started a small company called RightNow Technologies. That small company grew to over 1,100 employees with an average Montana salary near $90,000 a year.

Greg Gianforte is not a government insider. He spent his entire career creating jobs in the private sector. His first business was at age 14, mowing lawns. Through his career, Greg founded five different start-up companies. Recently, he launched “Better Montana Jobs” in order to lift Montana up from the trenches of being 49th in the nation in wages. He’s also the author of Bootstrapping Your Business, which he uses to mentor entrepreneurs, and serves as chair of the MT High Tech Business Alliance. In 2015 he was inducted into the Montana Business Hall of Fame.

Greg is also a strong supporter of education. He helped found CodeMontana, which provides public school scholarships to high school students to learn coding and computer science. He’s also the founder of ACE Scholarships Montana that helps low and moderate income students attend the school of their choice. Additionally, Greg launched the Gianforte Manufacturing Scholarships, providing 50% scholarships to low-income Montanans and veterans.

Greg is a family man and an avid outdoorsman. He and Susan raised all four of their children hiking the mountains here in Montana. They believe to whom much is given, much is required- and have generously donated to projects and organizations right here in Montana. Greg is a sportsman and life member of the NRA who will defend our 2nd Amendment rights.
