Tom Corbett.
A RECORD OF DOING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR PENNSYLVANIA.

Tom Corbett has a long record of doing what is right, regardless of the political consequences. And as Governor, he's added to that record by reforming state government and eliminating legislator perks, the wasteful earmarks, and $43 million of taxpayer-funded state cars.

Tom Corbett never ran for governor to increase his popularity in Harrisburg. Instead, he ran to make a difference for the Pennsylvania taxpayers. The results are nothing short of remarkable.

Tom Corbett has eliminated the staggering $4.2 billion deficit he inherited, and he did it without giving in to the typical Harrisburg solution of dramatically raising taxes.

Best of all, Tom Corbett's economic plan of less spending, a smaller, more efficient government, and lower taxes is working. And the proof is in the jobs numbers. Since Tom Corbett was sworn in as Governor, Pennsylvania has added over 141,000 private sector jobs.

One of the biggest reasons for Pennsylvania's job growth is Tom Corbett's commitment to helping grow Pennsylvania's energy industry. Under Tom Corbett's leadership, Pennsylvania has become the second largest producer of natural gas in the country, resulting in tens of thousands of family-sustaining jobs.

And despite the federal government ending its one-time investment of almost a billion dollars in Pennsylvania that had been used for education, Tom Corbett's most recent state budget spends the most state tax dollars on basic education in Pennsylvania's history, and includes significant increases for early childhood development programs and the Head Start program.

It's not surprising that The Weekly Standard has proclaimed: What Tom Corbett "has already achieved ... few governors can match."

Tom Corbett is keeping the promises he made to Pennsylvanians.

On November 4, PA voters will have a clear choice in the race for Governor: TOM CORBETT.

KNOW THE FACTS.

TOM CORBETT
Less Taxes. More Jobs.
TOM WOLF
Higher Taxes. Fewer Jobs.

Job Creation
Over 184,000 new private sector jobs created since 2011.
Wolf laid off 15% of his employees in 2011.

Unemployment
Unemployment has fallen to 5.6% ... the lowest level since September 2008.
Unemployment increased by 50% while Wolf served as Ed Rendell's chief tax collector.

Taxes
Eliminated $1 billion in taxes and reduced government spending for first time in 40 years.

Refuses to implement an energy tax which would be passed on to consumers and cost Pennsylvanians jobs.

Wolf supports increasing the income tax on hard-working Pennsylvanians.

He supports new taxes on electricity, energy and even trash collection.

Property Taxes
Continues to fight special interests in pursuit of meaningful pension reform.

Understands that pension reform means property tax relief for PA homeowners.

Wolf denies the existence of a pension crisis ... the number one cost driver of property tax increases.

Champion of the Middle-Class

ObamaCare
  • Refused to create a state-run health insurance exchange under ObamaCare.
  • Joined other Attorneys General in filing a lawsuit against ObamaCare.
Taxes
  • Opposes all efforts to increase taxes on middle-class families.
  • Eliminated more than $1 billion in taxes and reduced government spending for the first time in 40 years.

TOM WOLF
Obama-style Politician

ObamaCare
Wolf has said that Obama Care is "a good start" but does not go far enough. Wolf also supports legislation to create a "public option" in PA...a program rejected as too extreme by Democrats in Congress.

Taxes
Wolf supports increasing the income tax on hard-working middle-class families. And despite calling for new taxes on PA families Wolf pays a tax rate 56% less than the average Pennsylvanian.

Education Funding
Wolf and his special interest friends—who have donated $1.13 million to his campaign—continue to lie about education.

Tom Wolf + Barack Obama =

  • Expanded ObamaCare in PA
  • Increased taxes on middle-class families
  • Empowered special interest groups

TOPLINE MESSAGE ON CORBETT

GOVERNOR TOM CORBETT – BUILDING A STRONGER PENNSYLVANIA

Governor Tom Corbett has kept his promises to keep taxes low, create private sector jobs and build a stronger Pennsylvania. Inheriting a fiscal and economic nightmare in 2011, Tom Corbett set out to lead Pennsylvania into a new age of prosperity, restoring fiscal discipline and free market principles to grow our economy and put Pennsylvanians back to work. Today, Pennsylvania is stronger than ever and stands to be even stronger after four more years of Governor Corbett's leadership. That's a stronger Pennsylvania.
•    Economy & Jobs: Promoting Pennsylvania's location, workforce and energy, while partnering with the private sector to reduce burdens and taxes, grow our economy, create jobs and make Pennsylvania a better place to live, work, start a business and raise a family.

•    Budget & Taxes: Fighting for future generations with fiscal responsibility that reigns in wasteful government spending, bureaucracy and inefficiency rather than asking taxpayers to dig further into their paychecks and savings.

•    Education: Changing the way we look at education funding with a focus on choice and reform to get the most of the taxpayers' investment, accountability for our parents and teachers and the best results for our children while increasing funding to historic levels.

•    Energy: Using our vast natural resources to our economic advantage with an all-the-above-and-below energy policy that has made Pennsylvania a global energy leader and reduced utility costs, while safeguarding the environment for our children and grandchildren.

•    Government Reform: Cracking down on public corruption as Attorney General, Tom Corbett has always put the taxpayers first, prosecuting those who abused public resources, changing the way government works and increasing transparency into Harrisburg's workings.

•    Healthcare: Standing up to Obamacare and the federal administration's efforts to come between you and your healthcare, Governor Corbett is fighting for common sense, free market reforms and solutions that responsibly increase Pennsylvanians' access to quality and affordable care.

•    Veterans: Advocating for the quality care and treatment of those who have sacrificed to protect our freedom and way of life at home in Pennsylvania, especially where the federal government has failed to do so effectively. As a veteran himself, Governor Corbett believes that is the least we can do for those who have and are protecting our freedom.

•    Values: Defending long-held Pennsylvania values important to protecting our rights and making our families stronger.
