Why is it that although 76% of Minne­sotans favor legal medicinal marijuana, 68% oppose publicly funded sports stadiums, and 59% desire Sunday al­cohol sales, politicians refuse to carry out the will of the people? In each of these cases lawmakers voted in favor of influential lobbies and private interests over the public's interest.

Hannah Nicollet understands that good government is like a good referee, not playing favorites or picking winners and losers, but establishing basic rules and impartially enforcing them.

Always the independent, Hannah got involved in politics as a teenager campaigning for Ross Perot. She has remained politically active as a ghost­writer; door-knocker; debate surrogate, issue advocate and public speaker.

Hannah lives in Roseville with her hus­band Mark and their two girls. She earned a history degree from the Uni­versity of Northwestern, graduating with highest honors. Before staying home with her daughters she was a software developer.
