Jack Conway's Kentucky Roots Run Deep

Jack Conway is a direct descendant of Kentucky's first European settler, Dr. Thomas Walker, whose cabin is memorialized in the Dr. Thomas Walker State Park in Barbourville, Ky.

Jack's wife's family is from Owensboro, and his father was born and grew up on the family farm in Union County in Western Kentucky. His family operated Young & Conway Seeds Company. The company's motto was "If you don't know your seed, know your seedsman."

These commonsense values have guided Jack in his work as our Attorney General, where he fought for family farms when he negotiated a settlement with tobacco manufacturers that ended years of claims and litigation, and provided resources designed to boost farm income and create sustainable farmbased enterprises.

Jack's top priority as Kentucky's next governor is to grow our economy, support our businesses, and create more good-paying jobs. He'll also fight for Early Childhood Education and to make college affordable for all Kentucky families.
