A MESSAGE FROM BOB CORKER

I want to thank you for the privilege of serving you and your family in the United States Senate. It is a great honor and an incredible responsibility.

As your senator, I am focused on our country's most urgent problems – getting our economy growing again and getting our government's fiscal house in order.

It is time to come together around some common sense goals we all share.

Tennesseans are worried about the economy and worried about finding and keeping quality jobs to support their families. Tennesseans want our federal tax policy to encourage job creation.

We all know that the federal government's debt burden is unsustainable. Washington has to learn to live within its means.

Tennesseans know we must reform Social Security and Medicare so that the critical safety net will continue to be there in the future.

Solving these tough problems on a tight budget requires us to work together.

Fortunately, I believe there is growing support on both sides of the aisle for passing tax reforms that encourage job creation, for protecting the solvency of Social Security and Medicare and for finally putting an end to deficit spending.

I am optimistic that we can make real progress.

It will not be easy, but I promise you I will continue to work hard every day to offer leadership on achieving these goals and getting our country back on the right track.

Sincerely,
Bob Corker

Establish an across-the-board spending cap to hold the line on all federal spending.

Cut the Debt
Stop robbing the next generation of opportunity and success by forcing them to pay for today's job-killing debt.

Hold Washington Accountable
Pass a balanced, responsible budget, and focus on growing the private sector – not government.

Pro-Growth Tax and Entitlement Reform
