Job by job, worker by worker, Sherrod Brown is fighting to bring Ohio back.

"From Lake Erie to the Ohio River, and everywhere in between, Sherrod Brown is fighting to help put people back to work."
          –Senator John Glenn

Sherrod is working to make sure Ohio's cities, towns and middle class bounce back.
That's why he:

Strengthened "Buy American" policies to help Ohio steel companies, including ArcelorMittal in Cleveland; Nucor, located in Marion; and AK Steel in Middletown.

Fights to protect Medicare and Social Security benefits. Sherrod co-sponsored legislation to improve the cost-of-living adjustment for our seniors and fought to close the "doughnut hole" in the Part D prescription drug plan.

Works to enforce trade regulations on China, successfully passing legislation to add tariffs when China cheats by manipulating its currency. Sherrod's work also contributed to V&M Star building a new, $650 million seamless pipe mill in Youngstown, creating an estimated 350 jobs.

Fought to rebuild the auto industry and protect its nearly 850,000 Ohio jobs and workers in the supply chain. From Chrysler's Jeep assembly complex in Toledo, to hundreds of new positions at General Motors' Toledo transmission facility, and Ford's Cleveland Engine Plant #1, to three shifts of workers in Lordstown making the best-selling Chevy Cruze, the domestic auto industry is responsible for putting tens of thousands of Ohioans back to work.

Honors our veterans' service by working to make sure veterans receive the benefits they deserve, and that their transition back into civilian life is as smooth as possible.

Champions the energy industry and the good-paying jobs it creates. Sherrod is fighting to make sure Ohioans are hired for shale development as we safely tap the natural gas fields located across Ohio, and he is working to build the solar industry in Toledo and solar and wind power across our state.

Reduced crop insurance premiums for the thousands of Ohio's farmers who needed a lower, more fair rate.

Successfully made broadband more readily available to Ohio towns and communities, improving communication and technology while helping to create jobs.

"A good-paying job, Medicare and Social Security help make the American Dream possible. Any politician who doesn't get that, doesn't deserve to represent Ohio."
