Montana Farmer, Montana Values

Honoring America's Veterans

Jon Tester has always been a champion of those who have served. Jon believes it is our nation's responsibility to live up to the promises made to all veterans. He has improved access to quality health care for veterans across rural America, secured new VA clinics and wrote incentives for private businesses to hire veterans.

Protecting Montana Families

Jon believes putting America first is the key to prosperity and economic growth. That
means ending incentives for companies that ship jobs overseas. And it means investing in education, training, and research and development to create jobs here at home.

Supporting Young Montanans
As a former elementary school teacher and school board chairman – and as a father and grandfather – Jon has never lost sight of his commitment to a quality public education for young Montanans. He has fought against No Child Left Behind, and has instead fought for an education plan that maintains local control for communities and makes sense for rural America.

Safeguarding The 2nd Amendment And Outdoor Values
Jon Tester has strengthened gun rights, and he defends our Constitutional freedoms. As chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, Jon is a champion of hunting and fishing, and securing public access to our land and water.

Keeping Washington Honest

Jon was the first member of Congress to post his daily public schedule on his website. He helped pass sweeping ethics reform in Congress, and then went beyond those rules to ban all gifts, meals, and travel from lobbyists. Jon doesn't rehire former staffers who become lobbyists, and he won't be lobbied by them.

Jon even has retired Montana judges conduct regular ethics reviews of his office to ensure that he follows his own rules and holds himself accountable to the highest ethical standards possible.
