ON JOBS AND THE ECONOMY
I am a small business owner, and have worked since I was 14 years old. I will fight for jobs that pay a fair wage, and support policies that improve education and training, and build our country's infrastructure.

ON HEALTH CARE
I support the Affordable Care Act, and am the only candidate in this race who supports universal health care and a single payer system. We must focus on preventative care, and change the fee-for-service model.

ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE
I will fiercely protect and strengthen these vital and highly successful insurance programs. You have my guarantee.

ON PUBLIC EDUCATION
Our future relies on the success of our children to be educated and productive in today's global economy. I fully support public education, and believe we need to invest in our schools and reward our teachers.

ON THE ENVIRONMENT
I have a 100% legislative rating from Maine Conservation Voters, am the founder of the Friends of the Maine Woods, and will be an advocate for protecting our natural resources in the U.S. Senate. I am the only candidate in the race who opposes the Keystone Pipeline.

ON TAX FAIRNESS
I support President Obama. I am the only candidate in the race who supports the repeal of the Bush tax cuts for families that make more than $250,000. I also believe we need to end many subsidies and tax loopholes for big corporations.
