One of many endorsements

Small business Sylvia Nieser said the rising cost of gas and health insurance for her employees led her to support Wade. Nieser owns Coastal Coffee Works, a wholesale coffee distributor in Selbyville. "It's a very big cost for us," she said.
"I'm hoping Kevin goes to the Senate to be a voice of reason for these issues."

On the Issues

Spending and a Balanced Budget
America's $15 trillion debt crisis harms not only our economy, but threatens the security of our nation and the freedom of our people.

Our debt is now 100% of our nation's GDP. Taxes account for 16% out of our economy. The current levels of spending and taxes are unsustainable to bring back a healthy economy, yet too many politicians lack the will to do what's needed to fix this.

Kevin supports cutting spending, smaller government, and less regulation and a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Job Creation
Kevin knows small businesses are the engines for job creation in America. His 29 years' experience running a company has shown him first-hand knows how crushing government regulations, combined with a huge, unfair system of taxes and fees, punish small businesses,

In the US Senate, Kevin will be a vote for those who believe in hard work, personal responsibility, family and community. Kevin believes in the free market system and an economy that creates more high-paying, meaningful, private sector jobs.

ObamaCare
Kevin opposes ObamaCare because he knows it will add a trillion dollars to our federal debt, damage our health care system, drive up costs and expand the size and scope of government.

ObamaCare will also add an additional burden on an economy already struggling under massive debt and government over-regulation. Kevin will make repeal of ObamaCare a top priority.

Tax Reform

Kevin does not support a tax increase. In Congress, he will consistently vote to cut taxes. Kevin believes America needs bold tax reform: a simpler, fairer, and flatter tax system with fewer loopholes.

Cap and Trade
Kevin opposes Cap and Trade legislation.

Education

If America is to compete in the global economy of the 21st century, Kevin knows we have to demand better from our schools. We must spend more in the classroom, and less on the bureaucracy. We have to treat teachers with respect, and find more ways to involve and empower parents. We need more competition in our education system, and should expect more from our students.

Foreign Policy

There are two central threats to our nation's security today. First is terrorism. Second is a growing dependence on foreign oil.

Kevin believes that too much of our foreign policy is rooted in the need to protect foreign sources of energy – especially oil. We will overcome that dependence by developing our own American sources for energy through expanded exploration and drilling for American oil. He supports development of America's shale oil reserves.

Immigration

Kevin opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants and believes the first step government must take on immigration is to secure our borders.

Social Issues

Kevin is pro-life, pro-family and pro-marriage.

Why Wade Wins...

•   2012 is the most anti-incumbent political environment in decades.

•  Tom Carper has been in public office since 1977. Neither Senator Carper, nor Governor Carper, nor Congressman Carper nor Treasurer Carper has ever held a job in the private sector.

•  Over the past 35 years, no incantation of Tom Carper has created a single job for a Delaware citizen.

•  35 years later, we are losing our jobs, losing our home values and losing our way of life. It is time we lose our senior Senator.

•  Kevin Wade has built a career in the private sector helping to develop energy resources. He understands the complexity of developing America's energy resources and the hindrances that government puts in the way of delivering an affordable energy supply to Delaware families.

•  "Gas prices will be the number one issue by summertime," Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, the House Republicans' chief vote-counter, said in an interview.

•  Tom Carper voted against drilling in Alaska's Arctic region even on grounds of national security. Carper also voted to consider a national energy tax on middle income Delaware families as part of a Senate Budget Resolution (April, 2009).
