GOVERNOR
EARL RAY TOMBLIN:
MORE JOBS, LOWER TAXES

CREATING JOBS:
Earl Ray Tomblin will go anywhere, do anything, and spend every waking moment focused on expanding the number of good jobs for the people of our state.

Governor Tomblin knows that fostering an environment so businesses and employers can create private sector jobs gives families the opportunity to get ahead. He's cut taxes and lowered the cost of doing business in our state.

He's fighting against unreasonable federal regulation that hurts economic growth to let businesses do what they do best: hire workers and create wealth for our families. We've had some successes, attracting companies like Macy's and Gestamp, and seen expansions by companies such as Toyota and Quad Graphics, but there is more work to be done.

CUTTING TAXES:
Earl Ray Tomblin fights to keep state government lean and small, and paychecks in earners' pockets instead of the government's.

In addition to cutting taxes and reducing the cost of doing business in our state across the board, Earl Ray has led Democrats and Republicans to continue to cut the food tax. It will be completely eliminated next year, allowing families and seniors to keep more of their hard-earned money in this tough economy.

And to keep our taxes low, West Virginia needs to be smart with our money.

Our state credit improved three years in a row and is now "Double A Plus" (AA+), the best it has been in decades. We've cut spending, our state budget is balanced, and we've set aside millions for tough times.

PROTECTING WEST VIRGINIA FAMILIES:

Earl Ray Tomblin is bringing people together, in a bipartisan way, to pass common-sense legislation. He's keeping people safe by banning texting while driving, starting background checks on home health care workers to protect seniors, and is fighting drug abuse and cracking down on pill mills. Governor Tomblin is working to protect our jobs and create new ones, and get West Virginians the education and job training they need.
