Restoring The Fabric Of Vermont And What It Means To Be A Vermonter

Personal Message from Randy Brock

It is an honor and privilege to run for Governor of Vermont. I love Vermont. It's where I was educated, built my business, raised my family, and served as State Auditor and now as State Senator.

Unfortunately our great state is on an unsustainable course toward less personal freedom, greater dependence on government, and the taxing, borrowing and spending needed to pay for it.

As Governor, I'll create an environment that will help existing businesses create jobs and attract new businesses to Vermont; I'll make healthcare affordable to all Vermonters while improving the quality of care; and I'll make our tax system simpler, fairer and easier for all to understand.

Most importantly I will restore, protect and defend the very fabric of Vermont – the independence and self-reliance we have cherished for generations and that has made us proud to be Vermonters.

Thhis November's election will determine the future for Vermont for years to come. Working together we will set our state on a path toward fiscal responsibility, and greater economic prosperity and opportunity.

Join me in fighting for Vermont's future. Join me in restoring the fabric of Vermont. Join me in my campaign for Governor today.

Sincerely,

Randy Brock

"No race this year is as important to the future of Vermont than electing Randy Brock Governor. Whether building a successful business and creating jobs or eliminating waste in government, Randy has always applied common sense, intelligence and creativity to solving complex problems – the very skills we need in our next Governor. Independent of special interests, Randy is a true Vermonter who'll bring people together to get things done.''
—Governor Jim Douglas

Independence. Self-Reliance, A True Vermonter

  • Worked his way through Middlebury College and served his nation in the U.S. Army and is a Veteran of Vietnam.
  • Returned to Vermont from Vietnam and built a successful business, Brock Security, with his own two hands, creating hundreds of new jobs.
  • Spent 30 years in the private sector identifying problems and finding creative and innovative ways to solve them, the very skills Vermont needs to overcome the challenges we face today.
  • As Vermont's State Auditor and as a State Senator, Randy Brock identified waste and fraud in government and understands how to balance budgets, streamline operations and do more with less, so taxpayers are protected and essential services are maintained.
Creating Jobs and Opportunities for All Vermonters
  • Randy Brock will help existing businesses prosper and make Vermont a place where out-of-state businesses want to locate and create jobs and opportunities that will keep our children from leaving the state, so the next generation can achieve their dreams right here in Vermont.
  • He'll simplify our tax system, making taxes fairer and easier for taxpayers and small business owners to understand.
  • He'll make state government accountable by requiring each state agency and department to be performance-based and resultsoriented, using modern technology to set goals, find the most cost efficient way to achieve them, and measure progress.
Reducing the Cost of Health Care by Introducing Greater Choice and Competition
  • He opposes single-payer health care because it increases costs and eliminates choice and competition. He believes only two people should be in charge of your health care: you and your doctor, not a government bureaucrat.
Leading the Fight for the $21 million Refund for Central Vermont Public Service Ratepayers
  • CVPS ratepayers bailed out the company and they promised to pay us back. Randy Brock has led the effort to make them keep their word.
