Democrats win, Vermont wins. www.vtdemocrats.org
KEEPING VERMONT OPEN FOR
BUSINESS. The past two years of
Democratic leadership have led Vermont to
the fifth lowest unemployment rate in the
nation while being the only state where
median income has actually risen.
Democrats are working to bring even more
jobs to Vermont by increasing business
climate predictability and supporting
industry growth in all parts of the state,
including 5,000 new jobs to be added in
the Northeast Kingdom. VERMONT IS UP AND
RUNNING AFTER TROPICAL STORM IRENE.
Tropical Storm Irene was the biggest
natural disaster to hit Vermont in eighty
years. But Vermonters went to work
cleaning up, rebuilding over 500 miles of
roads and 34 bridges for just a third of
the estimated cost. This year Democrats
led the way to ensure the largest
transportation budget in Vermont's history
will continue the important work, and new
tax credits are helping businesses and
towns rebuild, all without raising state
income, sales or property taxes. www.vtdemocrats.org
Democratic
leadership means job growth and increased
economic stability for all Vermonters. It
means universal healthcare becomes a
reality. It means providing dignity and
equality regardless of race, ethnicity,
gender or sexual orientation. With
Democrats at the helm, Vermont will
continue to lead the way in developing
clean, renewable energy options and
creating green jobs. Learn more about your
