•    Served as Chairman of the New Hampshire State Board of Education from 1993-1996.

•    Recognized as a leader in the community, Ovide has previously served as Chairman of St. Mary's Bank, President of the Daniel Webster Council, and as a Director of Easter Seals New Hampshire, CASA and the Manchester Crimeline.

•    Ovide has used his experience as a business lawyer to help create common sense solutions for corporations, families and non-profits throughout New Hampshire for over 20 years.

•    Ovide and his wife of 33 years, Bettie, reside in East Manchester, in the home where he was raised, and have two daughters, Madeleine and Brittany, as well as a foster son.

OVIDE'S OATH
 
My ten point pledge to the people of New Hampshire

1.    Veto any broad-based sales or income tax.

2.    Sign or veto every bill that reaches my desk.

3.    Issue an Executive Order on my first day in office imposing a 90-day moratorium on any new rules and regulations.

4.    Appoint a 'business advocate' to serve in the Governor's office whose specific job will be to ensure that our job creators and entrepreneurs get the best service possible from state government.

5.    Make my top priority as Governor of New Hampshire to work each day to improve our economy and promote job creation.

6.    Uphold and defend the New Hampshire and the United States Constitutions, and to protect the rights of our residents from federal overreach.

7.    Oppose the implementation of Obamacare in New Hampshire.

8.    Demand the highest ethical standards for me, my staff and all state government appointees and employees.

9.    Nominate to public office the best qualified individuals to serve our state.

10.    Serve as a Governor for all New Hampshire citizens, accessible to all regardless of party affiliation, and hold regular town hall meetings and business roundtables throughout the state.
