Notes:  Gov. Jack Markell (D) won re-election by a 40-plus point margin, defeating businessman Jeff Cragg (R) and two third party candidates.  Markell and Cragg were unopposed for their parties' nominations.  Cragg owns Mailboxes, Etc. in the Fairfax Shopping Center and previously owned a UPS store in Wilmington.  He ran for insurance commissioner in 2004.

Markell, Cragg and Perri debated at Widener Law School, hosted by
NewsWorks.org/Delaware and WDEL radio, on Oct. 16 (aired Oct. 17) (>); Markell and Cragg debated at the University of Delaware at Newark, hosted by Delaware First, on Oct. 17 (>).

This race was not competitive financially; according to FollowTheMoney.org, the Markell campaign raised $2.4 million compared to just $76,127 for the Cragg campaign (>).
