U.S. Senate
Joe Manchin will always fight for what's right for West Virginia. As governor, Manchin kept his promise to bring business and labor together to make the state a better place to do business, and more than 240 companies have located or expanded here, creating more good jobs with benefits. Manchin will always fight to protect workers. He raised the minimum wage, and made West Virginia a leader in mine safety. In the Senate, Joe Manchin will always stand up for West Virginia's coal industry and will fight to kill cap and trade. You can count on Joe Manchin to stand up to Washington special interests, stand up to his party and stand up to Barack Obama when they push policies that are wrong for West Virginia, like when they try to increase taxes or destroy our coal industry.

For over a year and a half I've been fighting President Obama and his administration's attack on coal and our way of life. For me, our values and priorities will always come first.
With your support, I'll take this fight to Washington. I'll fight cap and trade. I'll cut wasteful spending and get our financial house back in order. I'll also do what's right to grow our economy and create good jobs.
By working together we made progress in West Virginia. But the truth is, they don't know how to do that in Washington and we'll never get this country back on track unless we put politics aside and do what's right for our country, not for anyone's political party.
In the spirit of Senator Byrd, I'll also stand up to anyone, any president, regardless of their political party, when they're wrong. I'll do it as often as necessary to protect our state.
I ask for your help and continued support this election.
Sincerely,
Joe Manchin
