MEET SAM GRANATO

Sam was born, raised, and educated in Utah. With the passing of his father Frank in 1991, Sam took over the family business. Today, under Sam's leadership, Frank Granato Importing Company is now Utah's leading purveyor of Italian and Mediterranean food.

"My business gives me a great opportunity to serve the people of Utah," Sam says. "I consider Utahns my friends and neighbors." That's why Sam drops everything to head back to his deli and help with the lunch rush almost every day.

HE'S MAKING A DIFFERENCE

As a lifelong member of the LDS Church and an active leader in his community, Sam takes every opportunity to do his part to serve his fellow Utahns. He and Ann, his wife of 36 years, live in Salt Lake City. They have four children and eight grandchildren.

A BUSINESSMAN - NOT A LAWYER OR LOBBYIST

Sam is a Utah guy, not another out-of-touch Washington-based lawyer. He will find common sense solutions that work for Utahns.

IT'S TIME FOR A NEW, COMMON SENSE APPROACH

America is heading in the wrong direction and, like a car veering out of control, keeps overcorrecting by making extreme lurches from left to right. Our federal government is broken, and many of the serious problems facing Utah families aren't being solved because of partisan gridlock in Congress. It's time for a steady, moderate hand at the wheel that will take us safely down the road and into a brighter future.

UTAH NEEDS SAM GRANATO

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
•  Board of Directors for the Urban Central Region of lntermountain Health Care
•  Chair of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission
•  Former President of the Utah Footprinters Association
•  Former Chair of the Beehive Credit Union
•  Former Chair of the Salt Lake Valley Board of Health
•  Former Board Member of the Utah Arthritis Foundation

"Our founding principles still matter. Unlike my opponent, I like the Constitution just the way it is."
– Sam Granato

SAM'S COMMON SENSE PRIORITIES
1. PRESERVE SOCIAL SECURITY
Social Security needs to be reformed to ensure this important program remains available for future generations. Sam will protect America's seniors.
Mike Lee has repeatedly stated he will abolish Social Security.

2. GET UTAH'S ECONOMY BACK ON TRACK
Sam has spent his entire life creating jobs. He will work with both parties to find sensible solutions to our nation's economic problems.
Mike Lee is more interested in extreme ideology than concrete solutions.

3. KEEP NUCLEAR WASTE OUT OF UTAH
Sam doesn't want to turn Utah into the world's nuclear dumping ground. He will fight to keep our families safe by preventing the importation of nuclear waste to Utah.
Mike Lee worked as a paid lobbyist and attorney for the nuclear waste industry.

4. WORKING FOR UTAH
Education. Water. Roads. TRAX. Space technology. These issues matter to Utah and to Sam. He will fight to get Utah the funding these important projects need.
Mike Lee says he would reject federal funding for Utah.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT
SAM GRANATO

"Sam Granato has been my friend for over 30 years. There are a few things you should know about Sam. First, he is a good man. Second, he is a very bright and thoughtful man. Third, he listens to people with genuine concern. Fourth, he is one of the hardest working men I know. And last, but most important – I know he will do the right thing for Utah and for our great country."

~MAC CHRISTENSEN
Owner of Mr. Mac

"I've known Sam Granato for more than 20 years and I've always been impressed by his loyalty, his intelligence, and his character. No matter how tough the situation, I know he will consider all the information available and do the right thing. The Sam I know is a doer – he simply gets things done. That's something we desperately need right now in Washington, and it's one of the many reasons I am proud to support my friend Sam Granato for U.S. Senate."
