CUTTING GOVERNMENT SPENDING
Kelly knows that high taxes and the slowed economy are hurting New Hampshire families. When the state faced budget shortfalls, Kelly led by example, refusing a pay raise. As our Senator, Kelly will fight to control excessive government spending and hold Washington accountable by:

Washington's bailout spending spree is drowning us in debt for generations to come. Kelly Ayotte signed the "No Pork Pledge" because she will stand up to the Washington special interests and fight to end earmark spending. She opposed Obama's $787 billion "stimulus" spending spree, the bank and insurance bailouts, and the auto company bailouts.

TREAT TERRORISTS LIKE TERRORISTS
Kelly Ayotte understands what it takes to keep our families safe. That's what she did as New Hampshire's Attorney General, and that's exactly what Kelly will do in the U.S. Senate. We must stay on the offensive in our fight against terrorism, try terrorists like the Christmas Day bomber and 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in military courts, and give our military the resources to succeed.

CREATE NEW JOBS AND STRENGTHEN THE ECONOMY
Kelly worked side-by-side with her husband, Joe, to create a landscape and snow removal company. She understands how important small businesses are to New Hampshire's economy and believes we must lower taxes and make regulations less burdensome on small businesses in order for them to create jobs.

Born and raised in Nashua, Kelly Ayotte and her husband, Joe, have dedicated their lives to serving New Hampshire. As our Attorney General, Kelly earned a reputation for being a tough prosecutor, indicting corrupt public officials and locking up murderers—even successfully prosecuting our state's first death penalty case in 60 years.

Joe, an Iraq war veteran who flew combat missions over Iraq, currently serves in the Air National Guard and runs their family small business. They live in Nashua, where they are raising their five-year-old daughter, Katherine, and two-year-old son, Jacob.
