America is at a crossroads as we approach this year's election. Even as we face many uncertainties, I believe in our nation's greatness and am guided by the notion that we can rise to today's challenges. We have great days ahead of us, and I want to be a part of finding real solutions by serving North Carolina in the U.S. Senate.

We must address the need for more and better jobs for Americans. We must produce a better economic climate whlch will ease the burden for individuals and families alike. Even in this time of national recession and economic uncertainty, we must cut wasteful government spending. You can count on me to fight for a limited, more responsible federal government.

As Ranking Member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, I am a vocal advocate for the thousands of veterans in our state and for our men and women in the military along with their families. I will stand with them as they serve us in the war on terror.

This year you can help. I need your vote in order to continue my work. Early voting begins October 14th. Election Day is November 2nd. I ask for your vote and for your help to put America on the right track.

I am committed to providing North Carolina the best representation possible in the U.S. Senate. My first term in the Senate has been a challenging, yet very rewarding experience. Brooke and I have enjoyed the chance to meet with so many North Carolinians both in Washington and as we have traveled across the state since I took office.

My work in the Senate is focused on building a stronger economy for everyone, restoring fiscal restraint in Washington, addressing the health care needs of all Americans, making our country safer from the threat of terrorists, and to represent North Carolina family values in Washington.

I invite you to take a look at my websites for more information about me and my campaign.
