LEADING THE BP OIL DISASTER FIGHT IN CONGRESS
 
  • Passed the Melancon Gulf Coast Restoration Amendment to dedicate 1.2 billion in fines against BP for oil spill to coastal restoration
  • Passed the SPILL Act to compensate families of men and women who put their lives on the line working on oil rigs
  • Sponsored legislation to help small businesses affected by the disaster by lowering loan rates

  • Married to Peachy Clark for 38 years
  • Peachy and Charlie have two children – Seph and Claire – and love spending time with their grandson, Jack.
