Roxanne Conlin
Fighting for hard-working Iowa families and winning.

YOU CAN'T FIX WASHINGTON WITHOUT CHANGING WASHINGTON.
www.RoxanneForIowa.com

Politicians like to say they will fight for Iowa families.

Roxanne Conlin has spent her career fighting for us—and winning.

Taking on special interests
Roxanne built a career standing up for the little guys against the special interests.
Before the crisis in the Gulf, BP and other oil giants polluted Iowa's drinking water. Roxanne took them on, winning over a million dollars for the affected cities. When Microsoft overcharged Iowans, Roxanne made them pay back $120 million to consumers, our schools and businesses. And today, Roxanne refuses to accept any contributions from PACs or federal lobbyists.

Creating jobs and protecting Social Security
In Washington, Roxanne will push for tax breaks that support small businesses and create jobs here in Iowa, and will fight to end tax loopholes that make it profitable for companies to ship jobs overseas. Roxanne opposes privatizing Social Security, and will fight to safeguard your retirement from greedy Wall Street bankers.

Standing up for women and their families
Roxanne wrote one of the first laws in America to protect rape victims. She also
helped write the Violence Against Women Act. In the U.S. Senate, Roxanne will fight to enforce the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which requires equal pay for equal work. Chuck Grassley voted against women receiving equal pay — twice.

After 36 years in Washington, Chuck Grassley is part of the problem.

Chuck Grassley took $500,000 from big Wall Street banks, then voted for the bailout and against financial reform. Grassley repeatedly put the interests of the big drug companies ahead of consumers, costing Iowa millions while he took over $500,000 in campaign contributions from the pharmaceutical industry.

"My Mother Taught Me Life Lessons..."

A Native Iowan with the Right Experience to Fight for Us

Growing up in Iowa, Roxanne's family lived paycheck to paycheck, moving from town to town in search of steady work. Times were tough; as the oldest of six kids, Roxanne took a job at a soda fountain at age 14 to help support her family. She learned from her early experiences that fighting for the underdog was the calling of her life, so she worked her way through college and law school.

Now, she wants to take that fight to Washington so we can take back our government from the special interests.

"My mother taught me to be kind, work hard and stand up for what's right.

That's why I've stood up for Iowans against powerful interests my whole life–and won. Today, we need Iowa values in Washington."

– Roxanne Conlin

Roxanne Conlin: The Right Priorities for Iowa

  • Help small businesses in Iowa and fight for relief on Main Street, not more bailouts for Wall Street.
  • Preserve and create jobs by investing in homegrown energy alternatives.
  • Improve health care quality and reduce costs for small businesses and middle class families.
  • Prepare our children for the best jobs of the 21st century, with world-class schools from preschool through college.

Chuck Grassley: Has He Gone Washington?

  • Instead of helping Iowans, Chuck Grassley has backed the insurance companies and bailed out Wall Street CEOs – the same crowd that funds his campaigns.
  • Though he claims to be a fiscal watchdog, Grassley recently bragged about having lived off taxpayers for the last 35 years, receiving farm subsidies and a huge salary.
