NOVEMBER 2ND

TEXT 2010 to 62662

IN 2008
Americans in record numbers voted for change.

Thanks to them, President Obama has begun to repair the damage of the past and build a better future.

But on November 2nd, every representative in Congress will be up for election again, along with senators in most states.

President Obama isn't on the ballot this year, but the stakes are just as high as they were in 2008.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

"Without strong allies in Congress, President Obama's agenda will not become a reality. I will vote in 2010 because I want to make the changes the President promised in 2008 a reality in 2010 and beyond."

-AMAR RANA, who voted for the first time in 2008

Republicans have made it clear that they want our President to fail, and they've promised to repeal "virtually everything" that we've accomplished if they win in November.

THE CHOICE

WE HAVE A CHOICE THIS NOVEMBER–WE CAN STAND WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA AND CONTINUE MOVING FORWARD, OR WE CAN SIT BACK AND LET REPUBLICANS UNDO EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE FOUGHT SO HARD FOR.

2010.BARACKOBAMA.COM

STAND WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA.
VOTE NOVEMBER 2ND.

WHY VOTE
IN 2010?

President Obama is delivering on the change he promised–but he can't do it alone.

The President needs allies in Congress who will fight alongside him, not against him.

For our President to succeed, he needs you to stand with him and vote on November 2nd.

THE CHANGE WE NEED

"Because of you, we are making the change that our nation so desperately needs. We've passed historic health reform legislation. We've put our nation back on the path toward prosperity with the Recovery Act. And we're moving America forward, one step at a time."
- PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA -

The challenges President Obama inherited were immense—two wars, a broken health care system, and the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. But we've already begun to see the results of the change Americans voted for:

ROAD TO RECOVERY

President Obama implemented the Recovery Act, which has already saved millions of jobs, and an economy that was in free fall is now on a path to recovery. In just one year, we've gone from losing hundreds of thousands of jobs each month to gaining jobs five months in a row.

U.S. JOB LOSS | GROWTH (DEC. 2007 TO MAY 2010)

SOURCE: BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS. 06/04/2010

THIS IS WHAT CHANGE
LOOKS LIKE

THE ECONOMY

• More than 2 million jobs have been created or saved by the Recovery Act

• 95 percent of working Americans received tax cuts—the largest tax cut in history

• A Credit Card Bill of Rights now protects consumers against the worst abuses and deceptive practices of credit card companies

STRENGTHENING AMERICA

• American taxpayers will never again be forced to pay to bail out big
banks and financial institutions

• We've made the largest investment in higher education since World War II, doubling funding for Pell Grants

• U.S. troops have begun the process of withdrawing from Iraq, handing the reins of government over to the lraqi people

HEALTH CARE REFORM

• Millions of people with pre-existing conditions will no longer be denied health insurance

• Millions of working families will receive tax credits to help pay for health
insurance—the largest tax cut for health care in American history

• Four million small businesses are now eligible for tax credits to help them pay
for health insurance for their employees

• Young adults without insurance will now be able to stay on their parents'
plan until they're 26 years old

• We are now on a path to finally close the "donut hole" prescription drug
coverage gap for seniors on Medicare

THE CHOICE WE HAVE IN NOVEMBER

All the progress we've seen so far has come in the face of opposition from a Republican Party that has sought to delay, derail and defeat President Obama each and every step of the way. And now Republicans have promised to repeal "virtually everything" President Obama has accomplished if they regain control of Congress.

This November, Americans will have the chance to return to the polls and choose whether they want leaders who will continue down the path to recovery, or turn back toward the politics of the past.

This November, it's time to make your voice heard once more.

IN 2008

Americans in record numbers voted for CHANGE.

Election day saw lines of voters stretched around schools and churches, and millions of Americans cast a ballot for the first time. They understood that this time could be different, and that their voice could be that difference. Thanks to them, we've begun to repair the damage of the past and build the foundation for a brighter future. But we're not finished yet, and we need your help again this November.

"Without strong allies in Congress, President Obama's agenda will not become a reality. I will vote in 2010 because I want to make the changes the President promised in 2008 a reality in 2010 and beyond."

-AMAR RANA, who voted for the first time in 2008

"This year, I need your help once more."
- PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA -

This November, we have a chance to elect strong allies of the President who will help continue the work of rebuilding our economy and strengthening our country. But the special interests and corporate lobbyists are already eyeing this November's elections as an opportunity to regain power, and Republican candidates have openly promised to run on a platform to repeal health care reform and roll back the progress that President Obama has made so far.

This election season, the stakes are higher than ever.

lt's time to stand together once again and show that 2008 was about more than
just electing a new president—it was a commitment to lasting change.

- PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

PRESIDENT OBAMA is fighting to move our country forward for our families, but he can't do it alone. He needs allies in Congress who work with him, not against him—and they need your vote this November.

MOVING AMERICA FORWARD

PRESIDENT OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS ARE FIGHTING TO REPAIR A DECADE OF DAMAGE:

• Creating jobs and cutting taxes for working families

• Helping families stay in their homes

• Expanding opportunities for education and making college affordable

• Reforming health care and ending insurance company abuses

• Working to reform our immigration system

NOT BACKWARD

REPUBLICANS HAVE
TRIED TO BLOCK PROGRESS at every turn and are promising to take us back to the same failed Bush economic policies of the past.

This November, we can sit back and let Republicans take us backward, or we can stand together to keep our country moving forward.
