VIRGINIA'S TEAM
YES TO NEW JOBS & MORE OPPORTUNITIES

"During my 18 years of public service in state and local government, I have a record of working with Republicans and Democrats to create new jobs, maintain a pro-business environment and keep taxes low on Virginia families and businesses. I will continue to work to create jobs and find new ideas and common sense solutions to the economic, energy, education, budgetary and transportation challenges facing Virginia."
-BlLL BOLLING, LlEUTENANT GOVERNOR

Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling: New Ideas for a Better Virginia

  • Authored legislation that has already helped create over 350 new jobs and over $120 million in new investments by creating incentives for small businesses to locate in economically depressed areas.
  • Proposed requiring 65% of all state education money be spent directly on classroom instruction, teacher's salaries, books and computers. This change would shift approximately $400 million dollars from the bureaucracy to the classroom.
  • Proposed a More Energy, More Jobs plan that positions Virginia as the nation's leader in developing traditional forms of energy, renewable sources like wind and solar and creating new green jobs.
  • Consistently opposed tax increases including gas taxes, sales taxes, income taxes and property taxes.
  • Providing over a billion dollars in new funding for roads by using future economic growth without raising taxes.

"As your next Attorney General, I will always put your interests first. Many politicians forget that their authority comes from you - the people. Government has an obligation to be transparent and to maintain as limited a place in our lives and businesses as possible while protecting our communities and our Commonwealth. These are beliefs that I will carry with me to Richmond."
-KEN CUCCINELLI, CANDIDATE FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL

Ken Cuccinelli is running for Attorney General to promote a prosperous and secure Commonwealth by:

  • Maintaining jobs and expanding opportunity by resisting the growth of government and regulations, while supporting Virginia's businesses and energy development.
  • Preserving property rights and the Constitution - as it was written.
  • Protecting our communities by continuing to fight against gangs, internet predators and illegal immigration.
  • Helping those who can't help themselves by improving Virginia's mental health system and assisting families of the mentally retarded.

His leadership reformed Virginias mental health system, cut regulations, cracked down on drug dealers and gang violence. He enacted reforms that made Virginia a national model in combating identity theft and internet crimes against children.

A PROBLEM-SOLVING LEGISLATOR

During his 14 years in the House of Delegates, Bob McDonnell worked across the aisle to reduce taxes, reform welfare, crack down on drunk driving, improve roads, and create jobs.
