Bob McDonnell was raised by an Air Force dad and a working mom and attended public schools in Northern Virginia. He is a 21 year Army Veteran and has also served as a prosecutor and a legislator. As Attorney General, he enacted the nation's toughest laws protecting our kids from violent sexual predators and strengthened domestic violence laws to protect women.

- Complete rail to Dulles, widen I-66 inside and outside the beltway, improve I-95, and use new technology to ease traffic flow on Rt. 7 and other major roads.
- Make sure Northern Virginia receives our fair share of transportation funding and leverage resources more effectively.
- Complete the I-495 HOT lanes project on time and on budget and use new technology to improve traffic flow in high congestion areas.
MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR CHILDREN
- To enable more Virginia students to gain entry into Virginia colleges and universities, increase space by adding 100,000 new degrees.
- Require that 65% of all education dollars - an additional $480 million each year - go into the classroom for instruction and increased teachers' salaries, while spending less on administration.
