Republican National Convention Partners With Local Security Company
In less than five weeks, upwards of
50,000 delegates, officials, guests, and members of the
media will converge in Milwaukee for the 2024 Republican
National Convention (RNC). With tens of thousands of
guests amassing in Milwaukee, the RNC’s topmost priority
is ensuring safety and security. This is a formidable task
that requires collaboration with state and local law
enforcement, as well as with private security specialists.
The RNC’s commitment to making the 2024 Convention an
exciting but safe and secure event is underscored by our
recent partnership with Secure Resources Unlimited (SRU),
a local Wisconsin security firm. This collaboration is a
crucial step in constructing and consummating our security
team.
SRU, an emergency management consulting service based in
Waukesha, offers a team of security experts with decades
of law enforcement expertise. SRU will work in tandem with
the RNC and law enforcement during convention week
and in the planning process for the event. SRU will serve
as a crucial partner in identifying and mitigating
security threats in preparation for the RNC and providing
security detail at RNC-sponsored events, hotels, parking
lots, and structures.
“Ensuring the safety and security of our delegates,
guests, officials, members of the media, and every
Milwaukee resident is our ultimate priority. In under five
weeks, Republicans from across the country will come
together to support President Donald J. Trump and amplify
the Republican Party’s vision for a better
America,” said COA CEO Elise Dickens. “SRU’s
role in identifying and mitigating security risks as well
as providing security detail during the Republican
National Convention is paramount, and the team’s local
expertise makes SRU an invaluable
partner.”
“Predicting the seemingly unpredictable is the name of the
game in the security industry. Preparedness and risk
mitigation are crucial in ensuring safe and stable
operations for massive events like the Republican National
Convention,” said Secure Resources Unlimited CEO
Brian Dorow. “At SRU, we handle security with a sense
of urgency, and our team brings decades of the experience
necessary to plan and execute an event of this
magnitude.”
